Instagram is testing a new feature that allows users to view the homepage feed in a full screen format.
The main objective of this new feature will be to put videos “front and center” on the platform so that users have a more instant and immersive browsing experience.
Well, according to the results of the Meta earnings report, which was presented last week, Reels is one of the most successful Instagram features.
Meta data indicates that about 20% of the time a user spends on Instagram is watching short videos, just like Tik Tok.
With this new Instagram feature, you can easily delete old posts. It appears that the only change to the main Instagram feed will be the removal of the Stories bar at the top of the screen.
Well, the bottom navigation bar that gives access to the Discover, Reels, Purchases and Navigation tabs for your personal account will remain in the same place as always. In addition to the icons at the top of the screen that allow you to create posts, check your notifications, and change accounts, among other things.
Which leaves stories in the background, because by not appearing in the main feed it will be difficult to access and so far, Instagram has not specified how to implement this mod.
It’s worth noting that Instagram Stories currently generate a quarter of the platform’s advertising revenue.
